
Howard Vernon Moody, 73, of Terre Haute, passed away on February 15, 2017. He was born March 15, 1943 in Corydon, KY. Howard graduated from Douglas High School in Henderson, KY, in 1963. He went on to work for Camp Breckenridge Job Corps Center in Morganfield, KY and later at Bemis Polyethylene Packaging Division in Terre Haute. He was a member and a Deacon of the Church of God in Christ.
Howard was preceded in death by his mother Frances Powell; father Henry Moody; maternal grandmother Eliza Powell; sister Patricia Ann Petrie; and mother-in-law Mary L. Sandefur.
He is survived by his wife Mary C. Moody of Terre Haute, IN; sons Christopher Bryce, Arron Gabriel (Elizabeth), Howard Joshua, Sean David (Ashley), and Kyle Joseph Moody all of Terre Haute, IN; 12 grandchildren; brother Glenn (Sharon Rose) Oates of Henderson, KY; and brother-in-law Elder Tommy (Linda)Moore.
Services will be held 12:30 p.m., Friday, February 24, 2017, at Saints Home Church of God in Christ, 2210 N. 13th St. Terre Haute, IN. The family will greet visitors from 10:30 until the time of service at 12:30. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery. Arrangements by Indiana Funeral Care.
